Bio

Cindy is happily married with two children and eight grandchildren. She's been a genealogist, family historian and professional researcher for 41 years. She has a 99% success rate of reuniting adoptees with birth families.

Along with Cheryl Natirello, she founded the Southern New Jersey Genealogy Group, which has been running for 20 years, starting first as a Yahoo! group and then migrating over to Facebook.

Cindy is also a published author of historical nonfiction books with Fonthill Media, Arcadia Publishing and The History Press. Most of her books require extensive and in-depth research. She writes under the name of Cynthia Ackley Nunn.

While in England she was often requested to give historical talks to community groups and to lead tours of historic locations. She has had the pleasure of helping to prevent the demolition of historic buildings and is a Historian of Record at state and national levels.

Born and raised in Southern California, she now permanently lives in North Idaho. She has also had the experience of living in the Arizona desert for 9 years and in the northeast of England, near the Scottish borders, for 8 years.
