Bio

I am a retired Biologist. My wife (Marian) passed away in 1987. I have 3 children (Craig in Bellevue, WA, Karen in Hanover, NH, and Mark in Pittsburg, CA), 1 granddaughter (Monique in Seattle, WA) and 1 great grandson (Asher in Seattle, WA). My grandson Joshua passed away in 1996. I served in the US Army (Infantry, T/4) 1944-1946 and US Air Force (Biomedical Sciences Corps, Major) 1951-1966, with combat in The Rhineland, Central Europe and Vietnam. I have BA (1948), MS (1949) and PhD (1964) degrees in Biology and am a Sigma Xi member. I am also an Air University Graduate (1953). After my military service, I was a research manager for Olin in New Haven, CT, Dow in Midland, MI and Dow in Walnut Creek, CA. In New Haven, I was Adjunct Associate Professor of Biology at Southern Connecticut University, where I taught a graduate course in bio-geography. After my industrial work, I was a local government analyst, applying statistical analysis and GIS to police operations in Concord, CA and teaching statistical analysis for SEARCH and CA DOJ. I retired completely in 1999.
