Bio

I am married to Rev.Brian David Baker and we live in Conroe Texas. My parents are Rev Henry Orville Alloway, Jr and Virginia Clark Alloway. Daddy started in the Methodist ministry over 60 years ago, and so I grew up living in Methodist parsonages around East Texas, including Willis, Texarkana, Joaquin, High Island, Port Acres, during Hurricane Carla. Later after living in Shreveport La and Nacogdoches, and then Mt Pleasant, we moved to Daingerfield where Daddy pastored Bradfield Jenkins UMC until June of 1973. They moved to Conroe Tx and I moved with them in 1974. Brian and I were married and were in St Pauls UMC in Conroe, under my father's ministry. Daddy went on to Montgomery UMC and my husband went and pastored Richards, Bays Chapel and Stoneham UMC's. In 1981, my father started our non denominational Church of the Saviour, in Conroe, which we joined and later in 1985, became Pastor when Daddy retired from it officially. I have been involved in Women's ministry as a speaker, and ten years as regional director of Women Ministers Int'l. I was Chaplain for the women in Montgomery County Jail for several years. I have published a book and written many poems that are on websites. I love doing family pictures and have them on Flickr and Photobucket. We have 9 grandchildren from our three children, two boys and one girl. Genealogy is also an interest, though my mother has been the one to do the gathering and I got to just copy hers mostly. I was excited to find this site.
