I enjoy family tree research. Many of my more recent ancestors came from Indiana and Illinois. I have travelled to Anna, Union Co., Illinois on several occasions taking photos. On my last trip, we found what my family called the Benjamin Vancil Cemetery on the old Vancil homestead. There is no sign identifying the cemetery, but it was found through research and the kind help of the current owners of the land.
That was very exciting for me. I was pleased that the stones were still in place, even though mostly illegible.
I hope to travel again and find more cemeteries and family markers.
