I'm LaNita. Mother of three wonderful children. I lost my oldest son to lung cancer in 2008. He was 29 years old. I have two surviving children. A son and daughter. I have seen few things in my life that have impacted me as much as having watched lung cancer, chemo and radiation ravage my healthy son's body and rob him of his precious life. Cancer is an insidious disease for which I pray for a cure in my lifetime. My son was a non-smoker and he developed lung cancer. The doctors concluded that the cancer gene ran in his father's family. I beg you; if you are reading this and you are a smoker, quit. Do it for your family, and more importantly, do it for yourself. Be well....
