Digging for ROOTS then exploring the BRANCHES.

I've been researching our family history since 1996. This is an excellent site to be able to pay tribute to a person by providing a photo of the person & their gravestone plus a bio and key parts of their obit and relationship links to parents, spouse(s) and deceased children and it's FREE. It also allows others who have any relevant information to add it to their memorial. REQUEST - If you have a photo of someone that I have posted on F A G, please consider adding the photo to their memorial or send it to me and I will be happy to add it for you.
Since gravestones have such a high degree of accuracy, a photo can confirm or correct birth & death data. I also provide a link for individuals from our family tree on Rootsweb to their FindAGrave record. This is an excellent way for cemeteries to "give up their dead".
My great grandparents surname are O'Keefe/Kearns, Seitz/Gross, Shaughnessy/Collins & Blondin/Richard. My wife's great grandparents are Krapf/Ferbert, McGregor/McCracken, Remaklus/Knieper & Minnich/Lescher. And then for our grandson we added these surnames Leipold/Knauer, Loomis/Freeman, Greer/Nelson, Henry/Hunter, Saunders/Page & Woodworth/Snow.
There are 4330 memorials with photos, 98% headstones, and another 366 memorials that need photos added; who have been found or added from my extended family tree thanks to a great group of volunteers.
Trying to give back to FindAGrave and all who use it for all F A G has provided:
I have worked with my wife's cousin to set up memorials at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Bryant, IN for the 500+ headstone photos she took of headstones in the cemetery;
Set up @ 800 memorials at St. Peter's Cemetery in North Ridgeville, OH from an out of print book of gravestones from the cemetery;
Michelle Davis and I worked from 4,500+ death notices in the Cleveland papers to add memorials for those buried at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH. This was a big job. Michelle volunteered to help me with this project and has made an invaluable contribution towards its completion. Thanks Michelle.
I have added @ 85 memorials for deceased Notre Dame nuns at Resurrection Cemetery on the grounds of the Motherhouse in Chardon.
I have set up many memorials for people not related to me in any way and would be happy to transfer to any relative or friend willing to maintain their memorial.
