Bio

I am 9th generation Tichenor in America and webmaster of The Tichenor Families in America website.
I was raised in Saline County Missouri near the town of Napton, where the Napton Zoar Cemetery is located. I am the secretary/treasurer of the Napton Zoar Cemetery Association. My father, mother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and several other relatives are buried at Zoar.
I assume the responsibility of establishing and maintaining memorials with greatest solemnity and sincerity. I am always interested in making corrections to memorials I have established to ensure an accurate historical record, as well as a respectful presentation.
I am willing to transfer memorials to verified descendants or close relatives (generally, no more than seven degrees of consanguinity; past that I may very well be as related to the person in question as the person requesting the transfer). I am also willing to make transfer of memorials to non-relatives if the person requesting the transfer is the verified keeper of records for the cemetery where the deceased is located.
I am not inclined to make transfers of memorials that I have established in the Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery (Napton, Saline County, Missouri), as I am the secretary/treasurer and keeper of records for the cemetery and prefer to maintain those records. I am willing to consider suggestions for corrections to records at Zoar. It is always appreciated for any suggestion to be accompanied by a citation of authenticity, e.g. birth or death certificate, obituary, etc. If you make a suggestion for a correction and do not give me some citation or verification, do not be surprised if you get a message from me asking for same. Additionally, if you are the holder of a memorial at Zoar, and you are not related to the person and have no interest in maintaining the memorial, I am willing to assume the maintenance of the memorial if you are so inclined.
