From my childhood, I unknowingly was raised by oral history every Sunday when the extended family would all gather on our Centennial Farm, for food and reminiscing---by telling their stories about 7-generations of family history and tales. Now I am 66, a retired medical-anthropological researcher, have been doing genealogical research for over 45 years, have gathered a wealth of extended family information, and as a life goal, to publish books about my family and the research I have conducted. I have a Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Michigan State University, where I developed and honed the research skills and knowledge to conduct my valuable family research, along with Ancestry.com, FindAGrave.com and many genealogical authors, colleagues, elder family members, friends, and family members. My work continues in re-building our lost families, linking them to those living today, with over 5,000 family members researched and added to my computerized data bank. Actually, I have had an Ancestry.com membership since 1997, and have vastly increased my family trees.
