I have been doing this off and on for years, I just recently started being more adoment about it. I remember My great aunt Mina doing it when I was a lot younger.(back in the 50's & 60's) When we would go visit her it would be fun to see all the pics she had takin in her journey (while on vacation)around the country going to different places to do her research. She still doesn't use a computer except to store her data, she got all of her information the old fashion way by doing a lot of leg work. She is 84 now & told me awhile back she was so proud of me that someone was caring on with researching our family history. I mainly started doing this to trace my fathers side of the family like aunt Mina had on my mothers side. I guess you can say it is my life passion now to work on my ancesters on both sides of my family.
The names I am working on are Magner, Woolley, Colegrove, Shields, Venn, Veatch, Stockton, Sells, Prough, Ragains, Jones
I do not have a home page right now but will be getting one soon.
If there is (FHR) in the notes I have posted, I got that information from Funeral Home records. If ther is (CR) I got the information from cementery records. If there are any mistakes, please let me know & I will make the corrections. I will gladly transfer any memorial.
While visiting cemeterys to get pics of my ancesters, I started taking pics of markers of our service men & women. I feel they all should be remembered in some way for helping to keep this a free country. I am also taking pics of unusual markers, as I journey through the cemeterys.
I have moved back to Okla.after almost 30 years, to be near my Sad who is 77, he just can not do like he used to. I lice in Creek County, west of Tulsa
