Bio

For over 20 years, I have researched the Bartley, Bircher-Birtcher, Fraley, and Spurlock surnames.

While I feel sure my Fraley ancestors are descended from Frederick and Chloe of Russell County, VA, through William, then his son, Reuben, I have no documents to prove my theory. There were two Reubens at that time.

Around 1850, Robert Fraley (a son of a Reuben, but which Reuben?) left Russell County, VA, for Carter County, KY, with his wife, Nancy Bush. Documentation proves his connection to my family.

But family mysteries still exist. So, if anyone has information about this Fraley line, please contact me, and I will be happy to share what I have. :-)

Find a Grave has extended my family and allowed me to share information only known to me that future generations will thank me for. I am their history.

It's also a pleasure and a skill builder to do the same for non-related people on FG by connecting memorials into families, correcting and adding information, and creating memorials for missing members as I find their information.

We are all related somehow, something I learned using the Family Search "View Relationship" family chart.
