I'm fascinated with history and, in particular, women's stories. As a college instructor, I have created a special assignment for my women's studies students, which involves researching the life of a woman no longer living. Students interview those who knew this woman, photograph the grave marker/headstone, and upload it and a brief biography to the 'Findagrave' website. They complete their assignment by submitting a brief paper to me, describing their experience of researching the life of the woman they chose. I believe that this is one, small way on honoring the lives of women who have gone before us...who have lived and loved and set examples for us to follow.
