I have found many surprises in the genealogical quest for my roots. I am a proud Mayflower descendant and had multiple great grandparents that sailed to America on the Mayflower in 1620. I am a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants and the Iowa Mayflower Society. Two of my great grandmothers and a great aunt were persecuted and hung on Gallows Hill in Salem, Massachusetts during the Salem Witch Trial Hysteria of 1692. I enjoy walking cemeteries and locating the headstones of my ancestors. I have been thrilled to find several generations of grandparents here on Find A grave and am so grateful to those who spend countless hours placing memorials on this website.
