I am from White County, Sparta, Tn. and have been doing family history research on and off for many years. I am alwsy searching for info, photos and stories on my family and would be happy to share. I also enjoy finding old photos of White Co and stores from the past. I moved to Cookeville, Tn in 1987 and currently reside here. MY parents- Reba and Spencer Young still reside in Sparta, Tn. Dad worked for Robert Hudgens, Sparta Spoke facotory, Bo Jernigan fruit Market, owned a Tv Repair Shop. Mom worked at 70 South Restraunt, Old Shirt Factory and Mallory Timers.They Owned Young's furniture store beside Warwick Drug store and then down by the River on Bockman Way. Dad had a big heart and let so many have furniture on credit and this lead to them closing the Youn's Furniture.They opened a Young's Produce in the same location and later moved Young's produce to 364 BOckman Way till Dad's health caused him to retire in 1988.
