Using Ancestry.com has enabled me to figure out who some of the people were that wrote the letters. Sometimes I get lucky and find a descendent of a letter writer to send a copy of a letter to.

My cousin has entered information about our family and written beautiful eulogies that give me tears every time I see them. My grandson and I took some pictures for her to upload after she started with this site.

My family names are: Evans, Baty, Clark, McCullough, Wiggins, Martin. We are Texans from back in the 1850's on the Evans side and back in the 1880's on the other sides. Mostly our people traveled the standard route...Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas. I saw that same migration route in a museum when I visited New York.
