I started in genealogy when I found parts of 5 family trees among my father's papers after his death. I started putting them together and then my mother stated she wanted in DAR and Colonial Dames 17th century. I cut my teeth so to speak on doing that research and learning how to prove lines. That was 1987 and I never looked back. I have learned so much history and come to respect my ancestry even more in the process.
