My daughter and I are avid cemetery photographers. I live in So Cal in the Inland Empire and also visit the LA area regularly. Hollywood Forever is one of our favorite places. Especially at the time of Dia de Los Muertos. Day of the Dead is special there. If you are nearby you really must go and experience it. You will not regret it. Visit www.ladayofthedead.com and see what goes on. It is a great celebration of those that have gone before us and if you only do this holiday once, do it at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. You will not be sorry. If you go there for a photo shoot, be sure to check out the Asian area tucked around the corner by the chapel. Great memorials and there are usually some peacocks, that live there, pokin around. Great photo ops.As a photographer, I do my own retouching and am very adept. If you have a photo on this site that needs work, contact me and I'll let you know if I can improve your images. Free of charge! Sometimes the only pictures we have of someone are the ones that get put on a memorial. It is important to have them look as good as they possibly can. It can be as simple as adjusting the lighting, balancing the color, eliminating something that shouldn't be there (like that thing in the background that is now sticking out of their head!). Maybe it is just re-cropping and straightening the image. I can do amazing things with photos so just drop me a note here or via email and I'll take a look at what you have. If there is a God.... then Randy Gillespie was a gift from God. I hope you will visit his memorial. With that, please place a tribute to Randy Gillespie. A modern day hero. Hard to come by these days but there he is ... ... ...
