I'm retired and spent last fall looking for my great-great-great grandfather david bairds grave and reseaching family history in both illinois and kentucky. My great - great grandfather was Zebulon Baird and I am having difficulty locating his birth or death records and would appreciate any help.

I am applying to the DAR for both myself,my son, grand and great children. When I was in Indianola, Il I asked for information from some people sitting on their front porch. To my surprise the gentleman I asked turned out to be named David Baird and said he was living in the house my great-great-great grandfather built when he moved to Indianola in 1830. As I was leaving he said good by cousin. What a wonderful and small world it is.
