I am the daughter of John Wesley Patton and Oadie Keith Patton. I have been doing research on my family for 45 years. I think I've been to every cemetary and town around Lequire and Stigler with Leonard and Gayle Patton of Ft. Smith and my dad. They would tell me who was buried where and how they were related. They showed me where their old houses use to stand and when tornadoes blew that place away. Where they use to pick cotton and being married on the Baptist Preacher's front porch. Great memories of searching with my loved ones for those who had gone on. Now mom and dad have gone and I wish I'd done more. I wish I had kept better notes.
