Grace Mary Aiello, loving wife and mother, went to her rest on October 11, 2012 in San Jose, CA. She was born in Pittsburg, CA on July 21, 1922, daughter of Josephine and Rocco Cardinale.

During World War II, Grace worked at the local rubber mill where she created fire hoses for the war effort. She met and married her husband, Salvatore Joseph Aiello, in 1947 and moved with him to Monterey where she remained as a resident for the next 55 years. He preceded her in death in 1999.

She is survived by their three children, twins Bart (Maria) and Richard (Kerstin) of San Jose and Salvatore, Jr. of New York City; two granddaughters, Grace Aiello and Christine Aiello, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She moved to San Jose, CA in 2002 to be closer to her family and was active with a number of social groups including The Italian Catholic Federation, The Women's Club, Rummikub Club and The Sewing Club where she took up quilting. She enjoyed watching movies, crocheting and knitting.

She will be laid to rest in Monterey next to her husband at a private family service in her honor.
