Huling Washington was born on December 7, 1922 to the late Willie Washington and Savannah Sutton Washington. He transitioned from earthly life to eternal life on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Huling received his education from the Bastrop Public School District. He enlisted in the United States Army and served two terms and received a Honorable Discharge. Huling accepted Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age. He served as a mentor to the young and old. Huling never met a stranger he couldn't be friend or get to know. He had a way with people. Proceeding Huling in death were his wife (Dell Washington), his parents (Willie & Savannah Washington), two brothers (Frank & Willie Washington), one sister (Betty Thurman), and one granddaughter (Lonnie Dukes)
He leaves to cherish his memories his twin sister (Helen Washington-Haywood), one daughter (Joyce Townsend), one step daughter (Bobbie Hunter-Williams), and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren, and friends.
