Jeanette Jordan Humphrey 91, of Wapella passed away on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at the Wapello Nursing and Rehab Center.
Memorial service will be held at 10a.m. Saturday November 3, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Wapello. A prvate family burial will follow.
Jeanette was born on March 2, 1921 in Wapello, the daughter of Rolland and Edith Matthews Barrick. She attended the Wapello Community Schools and went on to Southeast Community in Burlington. In December of 1938 she married Steven Allen Humphrey in Missouri.
She is survived by her son, Myron"Mike"Humphrey and wife Carolyn o Sahuarita Arizonia. a daughter in law Linda Humphrey of El Paso Texas; eight grandchildren, Cynthia Jones and husband Timothy, Melynda Peterson and husband Greg, Mark Humphrey and wife Joetta, Jennifer Larson and husband Laren, Brian Humphrey and wife Michele, Thad Hock and wife Julie, Vannessa Hulme and Sarah Hulme. 18 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. siblings, Lester Barrick and wife Laurel of Wapello, Hoyt Barrick of Osage, and Sidney Barrick and wife Betty of Sun City Arizonia. a sister in law, Virginia Barrick of Muscatine and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her exhusband Allen Humphrey, a son, Gary Humphrey two brothers, Stanley Barrick and wife Marilyn, and Dalford Barrick, a sister Inger Gibson, and husband Ralph and an infant sister.
