When the 1980-1981 cemetery census was done by Richard and Audrey Kinion, this headstone was not there, who placed it there and when, unknown, was not known that she had children. Effie married late in life to one of them "Clayton boys" is how it was described. She is remembered by town folks as working at the ice cream shop behind the grocery store. The first large red brick building coming into town from the east, on Hwy E, it is now being demolished (2012). When looking at any photos of Silex, it is the first building you see.
