Cochrane, Murray Mitchell, of Frankenmuth, formerly of Lake Saint Loius, Missouri, age 90, died Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Frankenmuth Lutheran Home.
The funeral service will take place 6:00pm, Sunday, October 21, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Eardley will officiate with burial to follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
Murray's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00pm until time of service at 6:00pm.

Murray was born October 27, 1921, in Toronto, Ontario, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Minnie (Mitchell) Cochrane. He and Doris Mae Jones were united in marriage February 18, 1950. Murray received degrees from Ohio Wesleyan University as well as St. Louis University. Murray proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII for four years before receiving his honorable discharge on July 13, 1946. After serving our country, he worked a long, successful career with General Motors, earning a supervisory title as personnel director & labor relations. He served his community for many years as a member of O'Fallon's Rotary Club. He was also an active member of his church, Dardenne Presbyterian. He enjoyed his crossword puzzles, handheld electronic card games, and reading every book in the library!

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Cochrane; three children and families, Jim and wife, Kim Cochrane and their children, Alexandra and John; Randy Cochrane and his children, Josh and Justin; Judy and husband, Ken Jackson and their children, Tim and wife, Katie, Kevin and wife, Katina, and Beth; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Ryker Jackson; brother, James Ross Cochrane; and many special people whose lives he's touched. He was
preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Warren Cochrane; sister, Margaret Leath Vitt; mother-in-law, Theresa Jones, and niece, Nancy Ellen Friedhoff. Friends may share a memory with the family at the funeral home, or online at www.martinfuneralhome.com
