Sybil Jean Wardlaw Palmer, 83, of Lorena, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, at a Waco hospital, surrounded by her children. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m., Wed. Oct. 24, at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

Sybil was born in McCaskill, Arkansas, to the late Lester Walter and Cleo Nell Askew Wardlaw. She graduated from high school in McCaskill and then attended business school in Tyler, Texas. She moved to Waco, Texas, soon thereafter where she was employed by Levine's and later worked and retired from Management Service for Doctors. Sybil enjoyed reading, her pets, and her family.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth James Palmer.

Survivors include daughters: Sherry Erck and her husband, Martin, Mary Frosch and her husband, David, Helen Raborn and her husband, Randy, Melissa Travitz and her husband, Dennis, and Andrea Grantham and her husband, Dwayne; son, Steve Palmer; grandchildren: Reneé Veatch, Travis Erck, Ryan Erck, DC Frosch, Johnny Jackson, Brandy Ward, Paige Palmer, Brittany Romo, Jill Bailey, Lynn Limon, Sue Lawrence, Jonathan Rutherford, Justin Grantham, Trent Grantham, and Kyle Grantham; brother, James Wardlaw, of Longview;, two nieces; and a nephew.
