Carl Michael O'Dell, 64, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012. Services will be 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 22, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Larry Holden officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21, at the funeral home.

Carl was born in Haskell, Texas, to Tompie E. and Mary Lou Webb O'Dell. He was a proud U.S. Marine who served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Carl worked for AAFES for the past 22 years and recently received his Million Mile Driver Award. He enjoyed watching old western movies, weekend gambling trips to Bossier City, his wife's home cooked meals and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shana O'Dell; and his mother, Mary Lou O'Dell.

Carl is survived by his wife, Donna, of Waco; daughters, Tammy Leon and husband, Hilario, of Waco, and Carla Merritt and husband, Jerry, of College Station; grandchildren, Hilario Michael, Kaycee, Kayla and Danielle; great-grandchildren, Macie and Kenzie; brother-in-law, Steven Morris and wife, Lisa, of Colorado; and his beloved pet "DOG".
