MRS. CURTIS DeHAAS
BLANCHARD-Raymond DeHaas found his mother, Mrs. Georgie DeHaas, 67, dead in her bedroom chair this morning when he came downstairs for breakfast at their home at Eagleville, near here.
Mrs. DeHaas had been ill the past six weeks. The Centre County Coroner, Robert Neff, said she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and died about 4 a.m.
She was the former Georgie Annabelle Fravel, a native of Mill Hall, and was the widow of Curtis DeHaas who died in October, 1949.
Surviving are two sons and daughter, Raymond, at home; Ardell, and Mrs. Floyd Rupert, Blanchard; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Flemuel Rupert of Howard; also 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. Ella Cloyer, Lock Haven, and three brothers survive, Ira and Raymond Fravel, both of Mill Hall, and Fred, of Flemington. A sister, Mrs. Christine Seyler, Bellefonte RD, died Jan. 3.
Mrs. DeHaas was a member of the Mill Hall Church of Christ., but attended the Baptist Church here. Her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Rupert, is Express correspondent for Blanchard.
FUNERAL-DeHAAS-Services for Mrs. Georgie Annabelle DeHaas, 67, of Eagleville Station, widow of Curtis DeHaas, who died at her home Monday, Jan. 29, 1962, at 4 a.m., will be Thursday at 2 pm. at the Bechdel Funeral Home, Beech Creek. The Rev Donald Maughan will officiate. Interment Baptist Cemetery, Blanchard. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
