Virgil was born and raised in the state of Missouri, the son of Samuel Oval "Jack" Mayberry and Florence Lee Moxley. He met and married Relda White, also of Ardmore Missouri. Relda is buried at the Mt Salem cemetery, Excello Missouri, next to her father Clabe and sister Molly White Reed. Virgil and Relda adopted one son, Billy Joe, 1949 of Missouri. After having a rough start in life, corrected his ways he became a preacher. He decided that he wanted to be buried in St Charles, so that his son was closer and could visit him more. The section that he is buried in, is right next to the infants, behind Baue Funeral home. Infants section, then a bush line and he is in the center of the older children section.
