Gladys was born February 9, 1929 in Bismarck, North Dakota to John & Helen (Klain) Jahner. She spent her childhood in Bismarck and graduated from St. Mary's Central High School. Gladys married Roger W. Daub in 1950 in Bismarck. She was a mother to two daughters and had two grandchildren.

In 1968, Gladys had her first painting lesson given to her in Newburg, Indiana. From that point, her artistic talent allowed her to give countless painting lessons and design over 1000 paintings over her lifetime. She operated the Daub Hill Art Gallery at her home in Fort Clark (northeast of Center, ND) for many years, ending in the year 2000.

Gladys loved animals, and enjoyed watching the variety of wildlife on their property, especially the deer. Gladys held a great fondness for her dogs, especially Muffin. She loved watching her daughter's horses run. She also enjoyed feeding hummingbirds and chickadees outside her home. She was a gracious hostess and loved to cook and make cookies, which she shared with her family and guests.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her sister.
