Kaplan - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 1996, at Vincent Funeral Home for Ezilda Simon, 97, who died at 1:23 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 1996, at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital in Kaplan.
Interment will be in Leroy Cemetery. The Rev. William Blanda will officiate at the funeral services.
Ezilda Simon was the daughter of the late Arthur Simon and Margurita Simon, both Vermilion Parish residesnts.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Essie (Rita) Primeaux and Mrs. Aubrey (Louise) Cormier, both of Kaplan; four sisters, Exina S. Gaspard of Abbeville, Ada S. Meaux of Kaplan, Mrs. Elie (Ephelia) Monic and Amedia Simon, both of Andrew; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andre Thibodeaux on Dec. 9, 1930; a daughter, Mrs. Milton (Zula) Primeaux on April 3, 1947; three great-grandchildren; her parents; three sisters, Armelise S. Woods, Elena Simon and Enita Simon; and three brothers, Amaduce, Leonard and Leodice Simon.
Pallbearers will be: Keith Primeaux, Craig Daily, Timonthy Faulk, Ronald Trahan, Wilfred Woods and Inson Simon.
A Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Visitation began Wednesday and will continue from 8 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
