Funeral Services Held Wednesday Grandma Wallace

Funeral service were conducted at the Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Tobitha Rodgers Walalce, who died at the home of her son A.D. Wallace on Tuesday. The services were conducted by Elder J. W. Beavers and arrangements were in charge of R. G. Campbell. Internment was made in Johnson Cemetery.

Mrs. Wallace was born September 15, 1850 and was married to J. W. Walce September 13 1870. Her husband preceded her in death on March 6, 1932. To them were born five children, four of whom were at her bedside when the end came. The children are J. W. Wallace, Munday; Mrs. D. K. Gray, Houston; A.D. Wallace, Munday; Mrs. F. W. Franklin of Chico. She is also survived by thirty-five grandchildren and fifty-four great-grandchildren.

For forty-five years she had been a devout member of the Church of Christ and was known as a sweet Christian character and her death was the universal sorrow among those who had known her over a period of years.

Her passing removes another of the pioneer women of this community, as she came to Munday many years ago and her children have all grown up ere. We join the many friends of the family in extending sincere sympathy.
