Rosemary Halpin Abbott, 64, of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012. Rosemary was a retired school administrator from the City of Salem School District. She obtained her Master's Degree in Education from Virginia Tech. Born on January 17, 1948, in Elmont Long Island, N.Y.,
A Celebration of Rosemary's Life will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Salem Museum, 801 East Main Street, Salem, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to League of Animal Protection, P.O. Box 561, Fincastle, VA 24090.
The family would like to offer their special thanks to the doctors and staff at Lewis Gale Hospital for the care provided to Rosemary.
