Cliff was born in Parsons,Pennsylvania to a Cherokee Indian mother and a Welsh Banker. He was raised in Sewell, New Jersey and enlisted in the Army in 1945. A veteran of WW II he received the Victory Medal of Honor and the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal.
He owned a nursery and loved flowers and plants. He was especially fond of roses. He loved to go deep sea fishing and was an avid angler. He loved Frank Sinatra, the Big Band Sounds and loved music and dancing.
He was predeceased by his sister Irene Maas and a son, Clifford Samuel Thomas Jr.
Survivors include his sons, Robert V. Lippi, Thomas Lowe and a daughter Valerie Schweitzer.
