Gladys was born 18 Mar 1911 at Swanton, Franklin County, Vermont to Frederick Lewis Martin and Nellie LaFarr Martin. She was the second of four daughters. Her family moved to Hartford, Connecticut sometime after 1914.
Gladys married Thomas Henry Langan on 30 Sept 1929 at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Hartford, Connecticut. They went on to have five sons and three daughters.
Gladys passed away on 17 March 1976 in Stafford Springs, Tolland County, Connecticut. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Thomas. She is survived by her eight children; three sisters; 22 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Gladys was laid to rest beside Thomas on 19 March 1976 at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
