A graveside service for Winnie Belle Hall, 94, of New Braunfels, Texas is set for 2:00 pm Friday, October 12, 2012 at Morton Cemetery 401 N. 2nd Street, Richmond, Texas 77469, with Rev. Zach Nicholson, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church of Rosenberg officiating.
Winnie Belle was born October 19, 1917 in Ireland, Texas to Minnie Belle Davis and Carl Clinton Davis. She died October 8, 2012 while residing at Eden Hill Nursing home in New Braunfels, Texas. On February 23, 1936 Winnie married Evan J. "Dick" Hall. They were married 63 years until his death, January 3, 1999. Winnie and Dick lived in Port Arthur, west Texas, Houston, finally residing in Thompsons, Texas for over forty years. Winnie was a devoted homemaker who always strove to please and accommodate her family, always putting others first. Winnie suffered a stroke in 2006 causing her to move into Eden Home, New Braunfels, Texas where she lived until her death.
Winnie is survived by a daughter, Sandra Smith and her husband, Bill Smith, a son, Wayne Hall and his wife, Shirah Hall, a sister, Treva Post and her husband, Johnny Post, and a number of grand children, great grand children and great great grand children,
She will be remembered as a very kind and generous soul who was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grand Mother and Mother-in-Law. Winnie will be missed by all family and friends that knew and loved her.
