Portsmouth - Marie Antoinette Harrison, 100, a long time resident of Portsmouth passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. She was born on October 6, 1911 in Matthews County, VA to the late James and Laura Haywood; and was a member of Westhaven Baptist Church in Portsmouth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Matthew Harrison; and her two daughters Alice Lorraine Matthews and Charlotte Ann Harrison.
Those left to cherish her memory are two granddaughters, Charlotte Markva and Laura Matthews Piland; and two great granddaughters, Ashlyn and Alexandra Piland.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, September 7, 2012 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Rev. Tom Wood. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
