Sarah Elizabeth Abbott, 91, of Red Bank, TN, went to Heaven Monday, October 8, 2012, in a Chattanooga, TN hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was a longtime member of White Oak Baptist Church and the Saved to Serve Sunday School Class. Sarah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her time with her family.
Sarah was the wife of the late Marvin Abbott and was also preceded in death by a son, John E. Abbott; and brother, Edward Riordan.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Bill) Floyd, of Red Bank, TN; two sons, Jim (Jeanne) Abbott and Jerry (Carol) Abbott, all of Soddy-Daisy, TN; four grandchildren, Jeff (Paige) Abbott, of Hixson, TN, Jason Abbott, of Hixson, TN, Donna (Mike) Norris, of Soddy-Daisy, TN and Karen (Charlie) Shepard, of Soddy-Daisy, TN; six great-grandchildren; brother, David Riordan, of Virginia Beach, VA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Dr. Tony Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to TC Thompson Children's Hospital or White Oak Baptist Church.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN.
