Ken grew up on the south side of Chicago, and after high school, joined the Army in 1943. He was a combat engineer during WWII and was in France and Germany. He participated in operations for control of the Remagen Bridge.
After returning home he worked in his father's business and eventually became the owner of the CWLint Co.
He was active in his church, the Homewood Rotary, and the Electric Assn.
