Joseph Tucker is the 2nd Child of Capt.William Samuel Tucker & Matilda Ann Paya. He has 7 other siblings.

Joseph was married twice.

Joseph first wife name is Carlena (Lena) Bollensen. They married on July 31, 1889 at St.Peters Catholic Church, there witnesses were John Eyth and Julia Tucker. Together they had four children; Howard Joseph (Died in infancy), Loretta Kathryn, Grace Frances and Roy Henry. Lena and Joseph divorced on June 5, 1919.

Joseph second wife name is Nellie S. Huffman Pennell. They married on July 2, 1920 in Franklin County, Ohio. They had NO children.

Joseph owned a Saloon aka Sample Room in Mt.Clemens in the early 1900's. He had a partner; Pete Gingerich. There Saloon was called Joe & Pete and Tucker & Gingerich. It was located on 61 N.Walnut and later on 63 Macomb St.

Funeral service for Joseph M.Tucker , who died in Detroit Tuesday evening, will take place Friday at 9 am. from St.Theresa's Catholic Church , with grave side services at the Catholic, Mount Clemens, between 10:45and 11 am. Rev.Fr. Albert Hutting of St.Peter's Church, will conduet the cemetery services.
Mr.Tucker was born in Mount Clemensat the old Tucker homestead, 165 North Broadway, where his father, the late Capt.William Tucker, was also bon. The house is about 100 years old and only recently was sold out-side the Tucker family.
The late Mr.Tucker had lived in Detroit for about 25 years, where he was employed by the Burroughs Adding Machine Co. He was born in this city Nov. 15, 1868, and for some years operated a saloon on North Walnut street in partnership with the late Pete Giengrick. The tavern was known to older residents as " Joe and Pete's" place.
Joseph Tucker was a brother of the late Charles A.Tucker , who died two weeks ago today. Mrs. Loretta Bolton , of Mount Clemens is a daughter, and Mrs. Amos Peltier, also of this city, is a sister.

NATIVE OF CITY HAD SUFFERED STROKE

Joseph M.Tucker, a native of Mount Clemens, died Tuesday night at his home, 9042 Clarendron avenue, Detroit. He suffered a stroke Sunday evening. He was a brother of Charles A.Tucker who died two weeks ago today.
Born in Mount Clemens Nov. 15, 1868, Mr.Tucker was well known here having operated a saloon for several years on North Walnut in partnership with the late Pete Giengrick. The establishment was known as "Joe and Pete".
Mr.Tucker had lived in Detroit for the past 25 years where he was employed by the Burroughs Adding Machine Co.
He was the son of the late Capt. and Mrs. William S.Tucker. Surviving are his wife and a son ,Roy Tucker, of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs.grace White, of Beaver Falls, Pa. and Mrs.Loretta Bolton of Mount Clemens; two sisters, Mrs.William Childs, of Cleveland, and Mrs.Amos Peltier, of Mount Clemens, and a brother, Arthur Tucker , of Dearborn.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
