Annette Louise Emery, 69, passed away on September 20, 2012, after a long, full life and a short battle with cancer. She left this life as she lived it, with an indomitable spirit and a sense of humor. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Annette was born on October 10, 1942 to the late Russell and Helen (Stackhouse) Emery. A lifetime Champion resident, she graduated from Champion High School in 1960 and from the Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing of Salem, Ohio in 1962. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring from Trumbull Memorial Hospital in 2008 after 46 years of cheerful and dedicated service. Many will remember Annette for her liveliness and care in tough times. Annette is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gene & Diane Emery of Cortland; her nieces and nephews: Diane & John Phillips of Champion, David Emery & Amy Flowers of Columbus, Dawn Emery Ballantine & David Ballantine of Boonville, California, and Doug & Melissa Emery of Hartford; great-nieces and nephews: Bryan Phillips, Laura (Richard) Phillips-Chou, Luke Emery, Kaitlyn Emery & Madeline Emery. She leaves special friends and care-givers Lois Warren and Karen Spitler, as well as many other friends who knew and loved her. Annette also leaves her beloved dog and cat, Peppy and Fluffy. Annette loved to camp, she did extensive needlework and crochet and she loved putting together jigsaw puzzles. Annette was a member of 4-H and the Royal Riders Riding club. She began riding at a young age, and her love of horses continued throughout her life. She spent many wonderful hours in the saddle over the years both in Ohio and Pennsylvania and on trips to the southwest and Alaska. She has many "horse friends" to this day. Those who remember Annette know she considered her horses, dogs and cats as part of her family and the great joy of her life. She can be found riding her horses in the mountains and pastures of heaven. Annette was a member of Champion Presbyterian Church for 56 years.

Annette will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio.
