Albert W. Zilmer
MONROE ~ Albert W. Zilmer, 71, of 1808 16th Avenue, died at a Monroe hospital Monday.
He was a native of Monroe where he was married to Martha Anna Schneider, Mar. 17, 1893. For more than 20 years he conducted a bakery and restaurant business on the north side of the square. He retired in 1922.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence E. Day; two sons, Roy, Milwaukee, and Bertram, Washington, D.C.; one brother, Edward, Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Eitel, Hawkeye, Iowa, Mrs. Lena Witte, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Herman L. Haase, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and seven grandchildren.
He was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge and attended St. John's Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shriner-Neushwander funeral home, the Rev. Paul C. Kehle officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
