Deette Leora Koster was born July 22, 1884, and passed away Sunday evening Nov. 17, 1907, aged 23 years and 3 months. She was converted in Minneapolis during the winter of 1901 and lived a consistent Christian until death claimed her. On Sept. 16, 1903, she and Clark Dunmire Albertson were united in marriage and to this union two children were born, a son and a daughter, the latter but a few days old. Only three weeks ago the husband and father was laid to rest, a victim of typhoid fever, and the saddened wife was left to take up the burden alone. But the struggle was not for long. On November 10th she was taken sick with the measles and in one short week she was released from her sufferings and her spirit had gone to be with the loved one who preceded her. Mrs. Albertson was conscious to the end and calling her friends about her she bade them goodbye. Her last words were to the mother and will always be a comfort. They were, "Oh, Mama, the way is too bright!" Besides the two children, Theodore and Opal, the deceased leaves a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Koster; two brothers, Floyd and Frank; and four sisters, Mrs. Frank Zook, of Minneapolis; Edith, Fern and Una Koster of Lamar.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at Lamar Church, conducted by Rev. Cooper, and the remains were laid to rest in the Hall Cemetery by the side of the husband.
Mrs. Albertson was a favorite among the young people in Minneapolis before her marriage and the sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved relatives.
