Green and Martha had an adopted son named George Vest Bennett. He would have been born around 1893. I remember photographing 2 other stones with that name, but with the last name of Johnson. I have checked and these are not the same dates, but I'm wondering if it's not a 3rd generation George Vest, or if it's simply a coincidence. Also, Green's full name was Greenup Lizander Bennett. His mothers name was Martha M. and Father's name was John. He came from a very large family with many brothers and sisters. He appears to have been the 2nd from the oldest, with two years between him and his older brother.
