ROY -- Craig B. Rasmussen passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 on a beautiful autumn afternoon. Craig was born on April 24, 1951, to Glen and Delpha Bronson Rasmussen in Ogden, Utah
He married his best friend, Esther Webb, on June 6, 1980, enjoying 32 wonderful years together. He graduated from Roy High School in 1970; enlisted in the U.S. Navy soon afterwards; and worked at Hill Air Force Base as a Heavy Mobile Missile Mechanic retiring after 37 years of service. He was a member of the LDS church.
His hobbies were camping, motorcycle riding, and BMX racing with his sons. He loved football and his coffee and having it with his friends. He loved to tell jokes and making people happy. He loved spending time with family. He was a great man and is the love of Esther's life and best friend. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Esther; children: James "Jimmy" and Robert "Bob" Rasmussen; mother: Margaret Rasmussen; brothers, Robert (Laurie) Rasmussen, Steve (Sheila) Thompson; sisters: Dixie (Don) Oram, Janet (John) Engelke and Natalie (Larry) Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. prior to services.
Interment will be at the West Weber Cemetery, 4700 W. 950 N., West Weber, Utah.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
