A time of visitation for family and friends will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home, Center Star. The graveside service, for family only, will be held Saturday with Brother Bill Lyons officiating.
Mr. Holden retired after 46 years at Reynolds Alloys where he was known as "Curly". He was of the Church of Christ faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Maggie Holden; wife, Martha Butler Holden, daughter of Tommie and Leadelle Joiner Butler; brothers, Connie, Arthur, Harlon, Raymond, Jesse, Hiram, Louis and Luther; sisters, Elizabeth, Della and Dorothy.
He is survived by daughters, Linda Smith and husband, Billy, of Center Star, and Patricia Kay Pettus and husband, Larry, of Center Star; and a son, William Tommy Holden, of Center Star; grandchildren, Chris Smith and wife, Karen, of Alexandria, Va., Whitney Lash, of Pelham, Marissa Ramsey and husband, Darrell, Jared, Adam, Emily and Ashlee; great-grandchildren Sydney, Matt and William.
