Sister Mary Gerard Hynes

Born Rita Josephina Hynes to parents William and Josephina (Powers) Hynes. Sister was a LPN and provided skillful and compassionate nursing care to many members of the Mercy Community and to several of her siblings. Between 1967 and 1975, while employed by Catholic Charities and Worcester City Hospital, Sister exercised her ministry of caregiving to many suffering from addictions. She was confidant, counselor and consoler to many in need.
