WHAT PRECIOUS REUNIONS AWAIT US IN HEAVEN

"Jesus said... 'I AM [Myself] The Resurrection and The Life. Whoever believes in -- adheres to, trusts in, relies on and clings to -- Me, although he may die, yet he shall live.'" --John 11:25 (The Amplified Bible)

"Page Pioneer" Bea Bloxton Johnston, 70, of Lyman, WY, was "Promoted to Glory" in her daughter's home in Lyman on December 8, 1996.

She was the mother of the First Twins Born in Page and in the brand new Page Hospital on December 22, 1958 (Carol & Carl Johnston), and "Page Pioneers" Donna Lea Bloxton Petersen, Page High School Class of 1961, Robert Conway Bloxton, Jr., Page High School Class of 1965, Richard Wayne Bloxton, Page Accommodation Elementary School Class of 1968, and Steve Dean Johnston, Class of 1974, who all helped to birth "America's Last Frontier" -- Page, Arizona.

Bea, her stillborn older brother; her son, Steve, and his stillborn twin brother; and Steve's baby son, Spike, were Promoted to Glory "absent from the body and present with their Lord Jesus Christ." She entered into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ peacefully in her daughter's home in Lyman, WY on December 6, 1996, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born to U.S. Coast Guardsman Samuel "Chauncey" Willis and Davis School Principal Alta Dee Edwards Willis, both natives of North Carolina. She was a Member At Large of the D.A.R. Robert Conway Bloxton, Sr. (19), on April 30, 1943 in Morehead City, NC, witnessed by Chauncey Willis, Margarita V. Bloxton Culp, and Alexander Moncure Bloxton. Bob Bloxton preceded her in death. She married Robert H. "Bob" Johnston on September 28, 1957, in Pioche, NV.

She spent most of her life in Las Vegas, NV, working for many years at Las Vegas Country Club before retiring in 1995, but was raised on the Eastern Shore of North Carolina, also living in Washington, D.C., VA, TX, CA, and AZ before settling in NV, then moving to WY, November, 1995.

Besides her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Steve Dean Johnston, on October 6, 1979, enroute to Salt Lake City, UT, and his twin brother at birth in Winnemucca, NV; grandson, Spike Willis Johnston on October 9, 1979 in SLC, UT; an older brother at birth; adopted brothers, Charles Clarence Mayo, Jr. #487135 in 1975 and Larry Kermitt Murphy #80611888 in 1981, all in NC; sister-in-law, Marion Elizabeth "Betty" Bloxton Warren on February 12, 1994 in Ormond Beach, FL; and brothers-in-law, Troy Elliott Johnston on April 6, 1996 in Scottsdale, AZ, and Lee Roy Johnston on May 3, 1996, in Salem, OR.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 11, 1996, at the Bridger Valley Baptist Church, Lyman, Wyoming. Her pastor, Rev. David G. Wells, officiated; her son, Pastor Rick Bloxton, sang "In The Garden" while her granddaughter, Rebecca "Becky" Bloxton Bowser accompanied him on the piano; her daughter, Donna, shared a Tribute to her mother(click on her portrait to read photo caption and that Tribute).
