Obituary from The Times Independent in Moab Utah: David Elvin Taylor passed away March 18 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Moab. He was born September 5, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to H. Paul and E Pauline (Westfall) Taylor.
He Married Deborah Jackson Taylor on May 1, 1971 At Monrovia, California. In 1988, they moved from Northern California to Maob, where they love to call home. He dearly loved his wife of 29 years and devoted his life to his family. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years and was an owner/operator for Bekins Van Lines for 22 years.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Taylor, Moab, his mother Pauline Taylor of Apple Valley, Calif. his brother Bill (Eileen) of Helendale, Calif., a son Michael (Betty) Franklin, Wooster, OH and three daughters Racheal Hanks, Whitmore, Calif., Toni (Jeffrey) Bronson, Moab, Susan Derryberry, Victorville, Cailf., Eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and last but not least, his beloved cat, Yayin. He was preceded in death bu his father, Paul Taylor.
Graveside service will be held at Sunset Mermorial Cemetery on Thursday, March 23 at 10 a.m. A special thanks to Larry and Susan Turpen of Spanish Valley Mortuary for their special touch in making the arrangements - to the staff at Allen Memorial Hospital for their help at the end, especially nurses Tim and Tracy - and to Annie Henderson and Pat Wucherer for their continua; support throughout David's illness.
