Elizabeth Mary Kidder was born about 1835 in Indiana. On Jan. 13, 1853, Elizabeth married Daniel Stewart in Lawrence Co., Indiana, where they made their home. They had the following children:
Margaret Elizabeth (1853-1912)
John Miller (1856-1892)
Melissa Ellen (1858-1939)
Safrona (abt. 1860-bef. 1870)
Mary Alice (1860-1927)
Rosanna (1863-1936)

Daniel joined the Union army in 1861, and he died from wounds received in battle on Oct. 25, 1862. Six months later, Elizabeth gave birth to her youngest daughter, Rosanna.

On March 6, 1865, Elizabeth married her second cousin, Kidder Crandall, in Lawrence Co., IN. They had no children.

By 1870, the family moved to Berrien Co., MI, where they remained for the rest of their lives. Kidder died in 1875 and Elizabeth died in 1890.

Elizabeth is my g-g-g-grandmother.
