ANN ARBOR FLIER MISSING IN ACTION
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Dec. 10--First Lieut. William A. Prentice, 23, of Ann Arbor, a pilot in the United States Army air forces, is officially listed as missing in action over Europe, according to word received here by friends from his mother, Mrs. Martha Prentice, of Washington, D.C.

First Lieut. Prentice, who was last known to be stationed at Liverpool, Great Britain, graduated from high school here and attended the University of Michigan for three years before enlisting.

Pilot of B-17 41-24553 from the 422 Bomb Sq, 305 Bomb Gp the first 305 Bomb Gp aircraft lost in Belgium in 1942 at a place called Blandain right on the Belgian/French border.

KIA in the crash of B-17F-25-BO # 41-24553 from the flying from Chelveston UK during a mission to Lille, France. Died at Blandain, Belgium.
