Bobbie J. Johnson, age 84, of Hot Springs, died on Friday, September 7, 2012. She was born on October 25, 1927, in Conway, the daughter of James Christopher "Christy" Kirby and Rose Ella Ray Kirby. On October 16, 1953, she was married to Harvey Parnell Johnson, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Brenda Carol Johnson; one grandson, Benjamin Waldrop; one brother, Billy Caroll Lankford; and one sister, Alice Williams. Ms. Johnson was a retired telephone operator from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was of Christian faith. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Coy and Melanie Johnson of Hot Springs, Bricky and Connie Johnson of Lebanon, Indiana and Jerry and Marquita Johnson of Hot Springs; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kaye and Tom Ellison of Boerne, Texas, Charlotte and Larry Crawford, and Crystal Waldrop all of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Crawford, Stephen Crawford, William Ellison, Lauren Waldrop, Jill Waldrop, Chris Waldrop, Tim Johnson and Summer Johnson; one brother and sister-in-law, James Jr. and Sallie Kirby of Hot Springs; one sister and one brother-in-law, Patsy Britton of Middleton, Connecticut and Thomas Williams of Hot Springs; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 10, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Chapel, Hot Springs with Rev. Steve Cypert officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Garden Cemetery, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Sunday evening. Pallbearers will be Wren Williams, Tim Johnson, Jeremy Crawford, Stephen Crawford, William Ellison, Mike Lankford and Chris Waldrop. Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Williams, Ross Carter and the staff of Quapaw Care and Rehab.
